No Smoking

NYC is one of the best cities in the world but it’s also the strangest. I happened to notice a No Smoking sign on a scaffolding (it’s the one on the left if you can’t tell). I didn’t expect to see this and I was puzzled. There are too many things wrong about this sign but I have to say that I’m glad I saw this. There’s always something in this city that will surprise you.

Snowball

Although spring is officially here, winter just doesn’t want to go away! It reminds me of a random street sighting that I had 2 years ago. I saw snowballs for sale. That’s right somebody made snowballs in the hopes that someone would buy it. But I guess they gave up on that idea because they just left it. I have no clue how much they wanted.

Here’s a pulled back look at where it was being sold. I was one of the lucky few that noticed and took interest.

Hanging Shoes

I love to walk. It’s the only way I exercise and it’s my favorite way to do it. Walking is great for sightseeing. Even if I’ve been in the neighborhood a million times already, I never get tired of it because I usually find something I didn’t see before. I was in Tribeca about to cross the street when I saw a restaurant awning. It’s a very simple awning but I thought it had character because it was hand painted. And then after a while, I noticed the sneakers hanging from the wire and I immediately thought this is such a NYC thing!
